Hi my name is Alexis and im 13 and i read all your books in the clara browning series in 10 days they are great my grandparents all had them sighned by u. i fel in love with them i couldent put then down. And i dislexic and i had to go to school at night for 3 years and now that i am reading better i have fell in love with your books. I was wondering if you you are going to wight a nother book so we can find about here schooling and Andrew and does clara ever get married and what a boes she go visit elpaso does she move out from her uncles and what about her friends and well i just wanted to no if yor going to wight a nother 1. Your books are wonderful andi hope u do it would be great the clara rimines me of me because i want to be a vet and i have horses and will ride eny thing and im practicing training right now so i hope you do. Thank u so much for returning my email and im glad your working on the book 4 it makes me happy to hear and ill pray you can find the time and imagination to wright it and i am glad that u expres in your books about God. Thats great i cant stop telling how wonder ful your books are and am glad your a local auther i live in grand rapids michigan and i want to go to michigan state to be a vet and tack at least 1 of my horses with me im in the 7th grade so im working hard for good greads and at night when be four i finished your books id lay in my bed with my dog tonic and read and id be tackrn away next thing i new it was bed time at 10 and was like aw man do i have 2 1 more chater but i will have to try those serials im starting narina and its caut an interest but yours will all be spical be because u sighned them and gave me a little advice i havent meet you but my grand parents said you were very nice.So your books will be with me till im old when i tack them off the shelf and read them to my kids or my slef again so i thank u and 1 mors question does that little girl ever go see clara and get better in no in my last letter i asked lots of questions but i will wait and see if the next book cames.

On Wednesday, November 16, 2005, Cyndi Harper-Deiters was notified that she had been nominated by Grand Rapids Business Journal as "One of the Most Influential Women in West Michigan." This celebration is sponsored by Huntington Bank. Their statement reads, "Huntington Bank is proud to serve as a catalyst for the advancement of women in West Michigan. Our region is enriched by the Women of Influence who have made such a tremendous impact on our business community. We salute their leadership!"

Cyndi Harper-Deiters and her Southwestern Historical Fiction Series, Clara Browning, were invited to participate in the 2005 annual Texas Book Festival. Other authors invited included Bill Clinton and Lemony Snicket. The festival takes place in Austin, Texas the last weekend of October each year. The Jonathan Michael books were a big hit with the younger readers.

Recent e-mail from a 12 year old: "Hi! I have read all three books in the Clara Browning series. I have grown to know and love all of the characters. After I finished the third book, I got on my computer to see if there is a fourth book that is out or coming out. As far as I can tell, there is none. You probably won't listen to a 12-year-old girl, but I am wondering why you haven't made a fourth book to this wonderful series. River Turtle is my favorite book and so is Iowa Passage. I have read this series many times and I am always stuck reading and can't put it down. Although, even I can read a book, or a series, too many times without reading a new book to the series. Flash, Clara, Mathew...they all seem so real. I feel like I truely know them. And I enjoy reading about Clara's adventures. I come with a tribal heart. This series has taught me many valubal lessons. So many it would take hours or even days to list them all. Many people will be very dissapointed if there is not a fourth book in the future.
